From the opening pages of Scripture to the conclusion, we read about God’s work of redemption.  In Genesis 1, we read that human beings were created in the image of God.  Yet, in Genesis 3, we rebelled and sinned against God and His image was marred, and our relationship with God was broken.  In Genesis 3:15 we have the first promise from God of a redeemer.  His plan of redemption unfolds in the pages of Scripture as God the Son becomes a man and dies in our place, then He conquers death and ascends to heaven.  We are redeemed by God’s grace through faith in Christ, and we live with hope because we have the promise of Christ’s return in final victory to bring the fulfillment of the redemption of all creation.
