What to Expect on Sunday

What to Expect

The Living Church gathers for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30. We meet at 501 Quintard Ave., Units 1 & 2 in the heart of Anniston

The worship service at The Living Church is a blend of contemporary and traditional. A typical Sunday gathering includes worship music (both songs and hymns), Scripture reading, prayer, and expository preaching. Our regular pattern is to preach through books of Scripture, letting the point of each passage be the point of our message.

TLC offers a Sunday School hour for children that runs during the worship service. The class for younger children (infant - 3 year olds) runs for the entire service. Older children (3 year olds - 7th grade) attend the first part of the service, and then are invited to attend Sunday School during the sermon. Of course, parents are encouraged and welcome to have their children stay with them for the entirety of our Sunday service!

During the Sunday School hour, your child will be taught biblical truth that is focused on Jesus Christ. Beginning with the Old Testament, our teachers walk through biblical stories, teaching your child how every portion of Scripture points to Christ. Our heart's desire is for our children to see and hear the gospel each week, and it is our prayer that each of them will come to embrace Christ as their Savior and their Treasure.

After the service, we have time of fellowship in the back of the sanctuary. This is a great time to fellowship with other believers and reflect on the sermon. It is also a good time to talk or pray with one of our leaders.

Also, we observe the Communion sacrament on the 4th Sunday of each month.
