Why the name "The Living Church"? The Living Church comes from Romans 8:9-11 (NIV) which says that the "Spirit of God lives in you" (vs. 9), that "Christ is in you" (vs. 10), that "your spirit is alive" (vs. 10), that the Spirit of Jesus "is living in you" (vs. 10), and that His Spirit will "give life" to our bodies by the Spirit "who lives in you" (vs. 11). As believers, we have the very person of Christ living, breathing, and working inside of us. We are alive through Christ! We are living, not dead. Dead to sin; alive to Christ!
Many people confuse the word "church" with a building... not so! The church is us: living, breathing bodies that are the hands, feet, and voice of the Gospel, helping to change lives for the better!
